Novartis provides unsolicited, independently requested monetary contributions to US organizations in the form of:
- Professional Medical Education Grants to support independent accredited and non-accredited medical education for US Healthcare Professionals (HCPs)
- Patient Education Grants to support independent Patient Education initiatives in the US
All grant requests from US based organizations for activities taking place within the US must be submitted through the online portal for review and consideration.
Novartis ensures that grant applications are received, handled, reviewed, and evaluated according to the highest professional standards and in full compliance with relevant laws, regulations and guidelines. Consistent with US Federal law and ethical standards under which Novartis conducts business, grants must never be linked to prescribing, purchasing, formulary status or reimbursement.
Grants cannot include any tangible benefits to Novartis beyond an acknowledgement (e.g. “Supported by an educational grant from Novartis” or “Made possible by support from Novartis”).
