Summary

As an IT Architect within the Deal Enablement group within M&A IT, you will be contributing to the development of technology architectural standards and the design of architecture for M&A business.

About the Role

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee architectural activities for Infrastructure M&A, architectural practice area, or lead the development of solution architectures for M&A
  • Define standards and direction of infrastructure architecture in M&A business or technical domain
  • Utilize architecture patterns to suggest the most adequate utilization of technical platforms in support of the holistic solution architecture design
  • Define the infrastructure enterprise architecture by bringing teams together and driving the definition of the best solution to meet the business needs and deliver business outcomes
  • Understand and advocate the principles of business and IT strategies, be ready to evangelize the Architecture process, its outcomes, and ongoing results, and to lead the communication, marketing or educational activities needed to ensure Infrastructure Enterprise Architecture success and use.
  • Define and communicate Enterprise patterns, standards, and adoption guidelines for IT & OT based on Enterprise standards and contribute
  • Determine M&A Infrastructure architecture-significant drivers (e.g. vision, strategy, objectives)
  • Elaborate domain-specific Reference Architecture, including architecture taxonomy, architecture patterns and principles, solution architecture adoption guides, etc.
  • Estimate solution architecture, design, and efforts for projects and to suggest and compile the required resources and assigning responsibilities connected to a defined time schedule
  • Guide the solution architects for the domain, and perform the required solution architecture reviews, following the governance defined by Enterprise Architecture
  • Incorporate digital and data technology directions into solution architecture design.
  • Assure the key solutions of the domain (enterprise standard, cross division, or division standards) have a documented architecture (Architecture Handbook) stored in a common repository serviced by Architecture Governance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve architecture domain (e.g. opportunities to reduce redundancy, consolidate applications and platforms, improve operational deficiencies, close existing capability gaps, etc.)
  • Build a strong partnership with the M&A application architects
  • Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Infrastructure architecture scope

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Strong Enterprise IT infrastructure architecture background especially in large scale implementations (virtualization platforms, Networking, M365, Azure, AWS)
  • Quick learner and adopter
  • Translate technology trends, industry direction to transform IT domain architecture
  • Ability to collaborate with, and influence people outside direct line of authority
  • Solid understanding of the solution architecture design and build process with knowledge of related M&A business capabilities
  • 10 years’ experience performing architecture design, end-to-end solution delivery, implementing IT process improvement and M&A domain
  • Experience designing solution architecture with on premise and cloud/SaaS applications
  • Experience in OT (Operational Technology) Architecture
  • Experience in Purdue Enterprise Reference Architecture
  • Experience in working in projects that are using Agile and DevOps best practices

Desirable requirements:

  • Desired knowledge in Public & Private Cloud Infrastructures (e.g. AWS, Azure, VMware, Nutanix etc), High Availability, load balancing technologies Server operating systems (Windows), Storage, SAN/NAS, File services (e.g. Windows DFS), Databases and middleware, Backup technologies, LAN/WAN, firewalls, proxy, Client OS (Windows), Remote Access (Citrix, ZTNA), E-mail (O365), Desktops and laptops, Tools and utilities for client management (e.g. Intune & SCCM)
  • Solid understanding of the solution architecture design and build process with knowledge of corresponding M&A business capabilities.
